Another part of this be a single person, homeowner is the Ms. Fix it role I now don. Today I changed out 2 ceiling lights. One was in the hallway and the other was in the kitchen. The new ones are nothing special; I just couldn't handle the brass bases any longer. It does give one a wonderful sense of accomplishment to do things yourself!

After coming back from the gym (morning session) I received a phone call from a student's uncle. We'll call this student Johnny. Johnny went in to the hospital last Thursday for open heart surgery. He was born with a condition with one of his valves that needed immediate attention. In the fall, Johnny went in for a stint (or something like that), but sadly he was in the 2% non success rate. So the GOOD NEWS was that he is out of ICU, his heart rate and blood pressure are under control. Here's to you Johnny.

The boy, that would be Samson, LOVES walks. We went on another one today. No kids or strays...that was a bonus. When I asked him, "Do you want  to go for a walk?" He got very excited and ran into the kitchen -- where I keep the leash. He is sooo good that he knows to lye down so I can hook the leash to his collar. What a smart dog!
